Echolight took part in the annual convention of the American Society for Bone and Mineral Research (ASBMR) in San Diego, California. This eagerly awaited meeting took place from 1st to 4th  October 2021 and that involved more than 3,000 experts from all over the world to discuss latest research and technology in the musculoskeletal field.

The Italian company, which already has offices in Seattle, Washington, contributed to the scientific in-depth analysis of the ASBMR convention, further reinforcing and qualifying its presence in the United States.

The American market is showing increasing appreciation for performances offered by EchoS, the first portable device in the world for early diagnosis of osteoporosis and monitoring of the bones’ health state through a simple ultrasound scan.

EchoS is a very revolutionary technology, as it is totally non-invasive and radioactive-free emissions, fast and safe, and it deeply respects the individual, providing an accurate diagnosis within a few minutes. And we need it more and more. For example, in the USA the prevalence of osteoporosis among adults aged 50 or over has increased, from 9.4% in the 2007-2008 period to 12.6% in the 2017-2018 period. In women belonging to the same age group, it went from 14.0% in 2007-2008 to 19.6% in 2017-2018.

Thanks to R.E.M.S. Technology, however, the possibilities of early diagnosis of osteoporosis also extend to children and pregnant women.
