Echolight obtains ISO environmental certification, our contribution to a sustainable future
In August 2022, Echolight S.P.A. has also achieved the prestigious ISO 14001 Environmental Certification of its management system. Specifically, the Notified Body in charge, Kiwa Cermet in our case, states that the design, production and marketing of Echolight ultrasound software medical diagnostic devices complies with the UNI EN ISO 14001: 2015 standard. This non-compulsory but voluntary certification confirms the company’s intention to have a management system capable of keeping under control and minimizing or, where possible, cancelling any environmental impact linked to its activities, seeking an improvement in an effective and above all sustainable way, applying the Plan-Do-Check-Act cycle, «Plan-Do-Check-Act».
“We are proud to have also reached this milestone which confirms our sensitivity to the environment in which we live and which makes us particularly happy given the emerging global environmental crisis and to which we want to contribute in our small way. In fact, Echolight aims not only to improve people’s lives by developing new technologies in the medical field, but by making use of business processes with low or no environmental impact, putting respect for the environment first as well as the health of people.” – says the CEO of Echolight S.P.A. Eng. Sergio Casciaro.
