On the occasion of the World Osteoporosis Day 2019, on October 16th and 17th, a prevention campaign was held at the Chamber of Deputies promoted by FIRMO (Fondazione Italiana Ricerca sulle Malattie dell’Osso) in collaboration with Echolight SpA for the evaluation of bone health performed by R.E.M.S. technology (Radiofrequency Echographic Multi Spectrometry).
In two days several echographic scans were carried out with the EchoS device on the Deputies of the Chamber, of different age ranges, with the aim of measuring bone strength and assessing the state of the bone health. The importance of this examination lies in the possibility to early diagnose of osteoporosis, preventing the risk of fracture and monitoring the state of the bones over time.
This disease can affect both young and aged subjects and the onset can derive from different factors, such as lifestyle, diabetes, pregnancy, oncological therapies, etc. The most effective weapon is prevention, thanks to which it is possible to avoid fractures and monitor the state of our bones.
With this important initiative, Echolight places itself at the center of the Italian medical scenario as an emerging and innovative reality, able to meet the highest application standards for an increasingly accurate and personalized diagnosis of the patient’s health status, and being chosen for this by the highest institutions of the Country, for awareness campaigns for the prevention of fragility fractures.
