The first R.E.M.S. Clinic 

We are pleased to announce the opening of the first diagnostic center in Romania entirely dedicated to R.E.M.S technology.

At the “Osteodensys” center in Bucharest, bone densitometries are exclusively performed by the R.E.M.S. technology (Radiofrequency Echographic Multi Spectrometry), present today in hundreds of clinical centers and hospitals all over the world.

EchoS, the innovative device performing echographic scans on the lumbar vertebrae and on the femoral neck, assesses numerous parameters related to the bone structure, especially the minerals quantity and quality. This examination is completely radiation-free, fast and precise, can be repeated several times and any time needed.

We are very honored to have a diagnostic center, inaugurated last December, entirely based on R.E.M.S. for the analysis of bone diseases, such as Osteoporosis, a silent disease enormously widespread among the world population.

In Romania, several bone health specialists have chosen Echolight systems both for their daily clinical practice and research studies, as for instance in the city of Bucharest:

• Dr Violeta Bojinca, specialist in Internal Medicine and Rheumatology, uses our device at the St. Mary’s Clinical Hospital. The group of researchers has published an independent study on the use of R.E.M.S. technology in patients with rheumatoid arthritis (Bojinca et al., 2019)
• Dr Mihai Bojinca, Head Physician of Internal Medicine and Rheumatology Department, is carrying out studies using R.E.M.S. technology at the Dr. Ioan Cantacuzino Hospital.
• Dr. Razvan Ionescu, Rheumatologist and Head Physician of the 3^rd Department of Internal Medicine at the Colentina Clinical Hospital, is conducting his studies on the effect of chronic inflammatory diseases on the bone health.

Thanks to EchoS, not only the diagnosis and the monitoring of bone health can be carried out, but it is also possible to perform an important preventive action in order to timely intervene on the bone diseases onset and to estimate the probability of risk of fracture to which the patient may be exposed.
